Cric Champs League
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 16, 2026
This policy explains how Cric Champs League handles information in its website and signed-in member app. The app is a community and match-storytelling companion; CricClubs remains the source for full official scorecards.
Information we handle
We handle the account and member information needed to operate Cric Champs League, including your name, email address, optional phone number, player profile, team membership, leadership status, and cricket profile details. Player waiver records include your legal name, date of birth, emergency contact name and phone number, electronic signature, and acknowledgments.
When you participate, we handle the posts, replies, reactions, poll responses, reports, photos, and videos you choose to submit. If you enable notifications, we store an app-specific push token to deliver league and community updates. Official match summaries, team rosters, standings, and player statistics may also identify league participants.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate members, personalize the player and team-manager experience, show authorized league and team content, support community participation, maintain official league summaries, moderate content, respond to reports, and protect the service.
We also process limited service diagnostics through Sentry and product events through PostHog, such as app version, device operating-system version, page or screen category, performance timing, crash or error category, and whether a technical operation succeeded. Automatic interaction capture and session replay are disabled. For signed-in members, PostHog receives a one-way pseudonymous identifier—not your name, email address, or raw member account ID—plus only your role, onboarding status, and last-used platform. Diagnostics exclude community content, authentication secrets, notification text, media filenames, precise location, and full page URLs.
We do not sell member account information or use it for cross-app advertising. Third-party content services have their own data practices, described below.
Who can see your information
Profile, roster, match, and community information is visible according to its league, team, member, or public audience. Team-only content is limited to authorized team members. Public-facing community media is selected and approved by a super-admin before publication.
Service providers, including Sentry for reliability monitoring and PostHog for aggregate product measurement, may process limited information only to operate and improve the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect members and the league.
GIPHY search and GIFs
GIF search and GIF images are provided by GIPHY. When you search for, view, select, or send a GIPHY GIF, your device connects directly to GIPHY. GIPHY receives search terms, GIF interaction signals, and network information such as your IP address. We do not include your Cric Champs name, email address, or account ID in these requests.
GIPHY processes this information under its own privacy policy, including to deliver GIFs, secure and improve its service, and measure usage. Its policy also describes advertising-related data practices. Viewing GIFs posted by other members can contact GIPHY even if you do not open GIF search.
Photos, camera, microphone, and calendar
The iOS app asks for camera or microphone access only when you choose to capture community media. The system photo picker lets you select specific photos or videos without granting broad library access. Calendar access is requested only when you choose to add a published fixture.
The app does not use location tracking. Opening a venue in Maps sends the selected venue link to the mapping service you choose.
Retention, choices, and security
We retain information for as long as it is needed to run the league experience, preserve official records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce league rules. Reports and moderation records may be retained after the related community content is removed.
You can edit available profile fields, remove your own community content where supported, report content, and block other members. In the iOS app, My Profile includes Delete account, which requires your current password and removes your account, profile, uploaded media, and community activity. You can also contact the league to request access, correction, or deletion. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
